Pictures of the 82nd Airborne WWII Living History Association

Below are some of the events that we've attended through the years. Take a look through to get an idea of just what the 82nd LHA is all about.

2008

Chino Air Show - We were "warmly" welcomed at the Chino Air Show. It was very hot, dry, but a whole lot of fun! We were even able to be participants within a WWII re-enacted battle against Germans. There was even tanks on both sides firing off blanks. A whole lot of fun!

Riverside Air Show - We were fortunate enough to be at the 2008 Riverside Air Show, where many different planes were shown off, as well as para jumpers.

Riverside Veteran's Parade - The third Annual Salute to Veteran's Parade in Downtown Riverside, CA. We were asked to make an appearance in recognizing those who went and faught in World War II.


2007

Toy Show - We were pleased to make an appearance at the local toy show, where many different toys from paintball guns to airsoft to remote control helicopters were being sold.

Ft. Mac Author - Nearly every year we the 82nd LHA have the honor of being at the Ft. MacAuthor "Walk through History", where many different types of living history re-enactors gather together for show to the public and also for recognition of all the brave soldiers throughout history.

March Field Training Day - The 82nd Living History Association Field Training Day. What was done here was some basic training, learning how to march, rifle drill, tactical march, fire and manuever, etc. FTX was held at the Rosemead Museum.

January Field Training Day - The 82nd Living History Association first Field Training Day of the year. What was done here was some basic training, learning how to march, etc.


2006

Palm Springs Air Museum - This is the 10th anniversary of the museum, and we're their special guests. Many local dignitaries and veterans were in attendance. A special ceremony took place, as well as several fly overs by the museum's aircrafts. The 82nd Airborne Living History Association setup camp outside, and had many different presentations going on, including jump check, medical field training, and a hand - to - hand combat demonstration. There were also many different kinds of equipment setup for the public to view, and even hold / use.

Veterans of Evergreen Fundraiser - The event is an honorary tribute to all veterans and in special recognition of veterans at rest at Evergreen Memorial Historic Cemetary- the Veterans of Evergreen.
